Can we switch from MySQL to mariaDB or not?

I just wanted to know from that person who is expert in MySQL and MariaDB can tell me that is this the good way or not?

From personal expereince, switching from MySQL to MariaDB shouldn’t cause any issues, all of my own servers have moved from the former to the latter throughout our entire network without issues.
