I am trying to install Invoiceplane on Windows 2008 server. However I am getting a 404 or 500 error. I have read similar posts here but since I am not a technical person, I would need to have step by step instructions on what/how to modify in the htaccess file.
My directory structure is like this: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\main\invoice\

You don’t have to edit the .htaccess file. The file is included in the application files and has to be copied to the root directory (in this case C:\\inetpub\\wwwroot\\main\\invoice\\).
Make sure that a domain or subdomain points directly to the directory.
I’ve copied the files to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\main\invoice\ and tried to run the setup as follows:
https://sub.domain.com/invoice/invoice/setup
but I get a 404 error. Alternatively, I tried https://sub.domain.com/invoice/invoice but got whole list of database error notices.
Is there anything else I need to do?
Why do you use /invoice/invoice/setup?
It should be /invoice/setup.
