I think that in this “how to” you have to add to not overwrite:

/invoiceplane/assets/default/css/custom.css
/invoiceplane/assets/default/css/custom-pdf.css

Or (IMHO better) delete that files from the installation package and create them through the installation script only if needed!

p.s. I think the same thing about /application/config/database.php.
