Unable to create user during installation

Good day,

I have been trying to get Invoiceplane installed on a hosted web server that runs cPanel. So far I have not been able to get it to create a user during installation (I have read through the other similar topics but none of the supposed work around methods have worked for me).

The setup runs correctly up to the setup/create_user step. No matter what I enter into the optional boxes (leaving them empty, using none or even adding valid text) when I click continue it just takes me back to the setup/create_user step.

I have tried both using index.php/setup (no .htaccess rewrite) and without index.php. I have tried both using a sub-domain (accounts.ominent.co.za) as well as a sub-folder (ominent.co.za/accounts).

Going to https://example.com/index.php/setup/create_user returns 302 for me as well. How do I fix this?

Hi @AndrewL64, thanks for reaching out to the community. Could I kindly ask you to provide some details on the issue? Such as:

  • what is your webserver (Apache, Ngnix, …)
  • what is your PHP version
  • what version of InvoicePlane are you trying to install (v1.6.0, v1.5.11, …)
  • have you followed the instructions at Installation - InvoicePlane Wiki (which are for v1.6.0)
