I know this is probably not the place to put this, but I can’t seem to find an answer to my question.
I’m not handy with Discord and have no insight in Github (I guess it’s my age … at least that’s what my “offspring” say).
I have started using Invoiceplane last year and am very happy using it … I have changed some things as per instructions on the site … all very well …
I have a hosting that I use for Invoiceplane and in that way I send my invoices and customers can pay online and view their invoices online and all that … nice.
However, as of december 31st of 2025 my hosting will no longer support PHP 8.1 (well … they will, but it will cost me €7 each month so … they don’t). Is there anything I can do to keep using invoiceplane … preferably in approximately the same way I am using it now?
I use Invoiceplane 1.6.3 and have regular backups. I have a realy good and fast internet connection at home (maybe I could host it at home). Mostly, I would love a way it can stay where it is now …
Can I update my 1.6.3 to a version 2 at this moment (as I understand it, that version would be compatible with newer PHP versions)? Hosting will no longer support PHP 8.1 Hosting will no longer support PHP 8.1

InvoicePlane has version 1.7.0 which is compatible with versions higher than PHP 8.1: Release v1.7.0 Beta 1 · InvoicePlane/InvoicePlane · GitHub
It’s in Beta, so it’s not fully released yet.
We ask the community to take a look and report any problems.

You are correct. We’ll make it work for PHP higher than 8.1 for you
Wait for PHP 1.7.0, it will be compatible with PHP higher than 8.1. You can try the beta if you want.
It’s the .zip file, upload it, that’s it.
And report problems if you see them
Just installed the 1.7.0 version on php 8.3 environment and worked perfect (i had upgraded from 1.6.3)
