I’m trying to install the new update in a separate folder, as I do not want to play with my old system.

I have created a new folder under my hosting domain, when I run www.kbikeno/invoice/setup, I’m getting an error 404 page not found.

I have tried to change the settings in .htaccess file, but I can’t find the file. It seems to be hidden.

Yes the file is hidden on Unix-based systems. Please search Google on how to show hidden files for your operating system.
